Share more only when both people choose.
Mutual Consent separates a reveal request from each person's private decision. Before both choices align, neither choice nor the requested detail is shown to the other person.
The reveal is not the chat
Sending a message, continuing a conversation, or making a plan does not imply consent to reveal a photo or protected profile detail.
A reveal begins only through the dedicated Mutual Consent control, where each person can make a separate choice.
Before and after agreement
Before agreement
The other person's choice and the protected detail remain hidden. The status explains only what you need to know about your own next step.
After both choose
The requested detail can be revealed for 1 hour, 24 hours, or 7 days, depending on the selected duration.
Decline or not yet
Either person can decline without a public explanation. A declined request does not reveal the other person's choice.
Undo, cancel, or expire
A pending request can be canceled, a choice can be undone where the state allows it, and completed reveals expire at the stated time.

Privacy and blocking still apply
If blocking or another privacy rule prevents the reveal, the protected detail stays unavailable. Mutual Consent never overrides a block, revoked share, expired state, or account-level privacy boundary.
The interface should communicate a blocked or unavailable state without exposing the reason in a way that leaks private account information.
