- Discovery never grants access to protected profile details.

- Leave, filter, block, or report instead of starting a conversation.

- Talk from the shared context.
Stage 2 of 7
Talk
Continue a conversation with its shared context and any Plan kept close.
- Boundary
- Messages, replies, and time spent talking never imply consent or proof of delivery or reading.
- Stop or change course
- Mute, close, block, or report the conversation.
- Possible next state
- Ask for a separate mutual choice only when appropriate.
Stage 3 of 7
Consent
Each person makes a separate private choice about a limited reveal.
- Boundary
- A request can be declined, canceled, blocked, or expire; conversation can continue without disclosure.
- Stop or change course
- Choose Not yet, decline, cancel, block, or let the request expire.
- Possible next state
- Reveal only after both people choose.
Stage 4 of 7
Reveal
Share only the requested profile detail for the supported limited duration.
- Boundary
- A reveal does not make a profile public, create a viewer list, or open a people directory.
- Stop or change course
- Revoke access, block, or allow the reveal to expire.
- Possible next state
- Keep talking or make a Plan.
Stage 5 of 7
Plan
Agree on time, place, visibility, participation, and expectations together.
- Boundary
- A Plan can be canceled or become stale and does not imply payment, ticketing, or guaranteed attendance.
- Stop or change course
- Decline, cancel, leave, or change the Plan.
- Possible next state
- Prepare to meet with care.
Stage 6 of 7
Meet with care
Use practical guidance, Safety Check-Ins, Trusted Contacts, block, report, and support near the Plan.
- Boundary
- PostLane is not an emergency service, does not provide continuous live-location monitoring, and cannot guarantee safety, notification, message, push, or Trusted Contact delivery.
- Stop or change course
- Change or cancel the Plan and contact local emergency services when immediate help is needed.
- Possible next state
- Return to the same context when it is right to do so.
Stage 7 of 7
Stay connected
Return to the same Chat, Circle, people, and Community context after the meetup.
- Boundary
- Continuation is optional; no activity creates an obligation to keep talking or meet again.
- Stop or change course
- Mute, leave, block, report, or close the connection.
- Possible next state
- Continue only when both people choose.
